Ronald Henry

Born en bred in Amsterdam, where I also studied at both the University of Amsterdam  (MSc) and the Free University (PhD). Started my clinical training in internal medicine in our capital and finished it at the Maastricht UMC+. Since 2000 closely involved in research on the topic of the both structural and functional properties of the circulation and as such also closely involved in the con- and inception of The Maastricht Study as board member. In the beginning of 2022, after the wild ‘covid’ years, I withdrew from The Maastricht Study to take up my current position as head of the MUMC+ emergency department. Currently, I am involved in developing an interdisciplinary acute care research infrastructure and portfolio.
