Stef Zeemering, Aaron Isaacs, Joris Winters and Uli Schotten received this year’s Joan and Douglas Zipes Publication of the Year Award 2024 in Heart Rhythm at the Heart Rhythm Society Meeting in Boston.

Dr Victor Thijssen (Amsterdam UMC) and Prof. Rory Koenen (Dept. of Biochemistry) obtained a grant from NWO ENW on the functional interactions of galectins and chemokines and their roles in immune defense and inflammation.

With a symposium in the St. Janskerk and a farewell lecture in the aula, vascular surgeon and professor Michael Jacobs bid farewell last Friday.
