During the Radiology Days 2026, Dr Bob Knapen (Dept of Neurology) received significant recognition for his scientific research. His doctoral thesis, titled 'Optimizing Recanalization in Acute Ischemic Stroke Patients - Encompassing Intravenous Thrombolysis and Endovascular Treatment', was awarded second place in the Frederik Philips Prize 2026, a prestigious distinction honouring innovative research in the field of radiology, awarded by Philips and the Dutch Society of Radiology (Nederlandse Vereniging voor Radiologie (NVvR)).

In addition, Bob (who attended the event online due to his stay abroad) also won the Audience Award, selected by the participants based on both the content and presentation of the research.
